Curtains collect more dust, pollen and odour than almost anything else in the house — and most can't go near a washing machine. We inspect each pair, clean them with specialist methods that protect colour and shape, and return them pressed, fresh and ready to rehang.
The risk with curtains is shrinkage and puckering — linings and face fabrics react differently to moisture, and a domestic wash routinely ruins them. We choose the cleaning method per curtain after inspecting the fabric, lining and header, lifting dust, allergens and stubborn marks without distorting the drape.
Lined, unlined, interlined, pleated or delicate — each pair is finished and pressed so the pleats hang properly when they go back up. Pelmets and tie-backs can be cleaned to match, and our alterations team can adjust curtain lengths at the same time.

Fabric and lining are assessed before any cleaning — the method is chosen to protect both, so your curtains still fit the window afterwards.
Curtains hold months of dust, pollen and cooking odours. A proper clean noticeably freshens the whole room.
Professional finishing means the pleats fall as they should — not creased, not flattened.
Priced by size, so small windows cost less than bay windows:
All prices are per square metre. We measure with you when you bring them in and confirm the price before cleaning: width is measured across the bottom of the curtain, spread out open flat, and height from top to bottom. Very large or heavy curtains may be priced by weight instead of measurements — agreed with you on the spot. Blackout-lined curtains take much longer to dry and are cleaned at your risk, as blackout coatings can peel. Please remove all metal hooks before bringing curtains in.
Bring your curtains to 13 Shaw's Road, Altrincham, or book a free collection & delivery through the app or website across Altrincham, Hale, Bowdon, Timperley, Sale and surrounds. If you need help getting large curtains down and rehung, ask — we'll advise the easiest way to get them to us.
£7 per square metre unlined, £8 lined, measured with you when they arrive. Pelmets are £8. The price is confirmed before we start.
Protecting against shrinkage is the whole point of professional curtain cleaning — we inspect the fabric and lining first and choose a method that keeps both stable, rather than putting them near a domestic wash.
Yes — linings are exactly why curtains need per-item assessment. Lined curtains are £8 per square metre.
Yes, with two things agreed up front: blackout curtains carry a £3 per square metre surcharge on the lined rate because they take much longer to dry, and they're cleaned at your risk — blackout coatings can peel during cleaning, whoever cleans them.
With you, at the counter: width across the bottom of the curtain spread out open flat, height from top to bottom. Very large or heavy curtains may be priced by weight instead — always agreed before we start. Please remove all metal hooks before bringing curtains in.
Yes — our alterations team adjusts curtain lengths from £12.65 per square metre, so they can be cleaned and altered in one visit.
